Building self-esteem is a topic that I love and I believe in so deeply. I truly believe that as a woman, when you love yourself that your internal spirit drives everything you do. It's like having a secret superpower. It’s a gift that no one can take away from you and it is invaluable when being a powerhouse in business as well as in life. I have been in the health and wellness industry for over 10 years and I have worked with hundreds of companies but I have also worked hard to build my own company. There have been many meetings where I have been the only female in the room and believe me, that’s when your superpowers really come in handy. To have authority in a boardroom surrounded by men, it takes a lot of confidence and a true understanding of yourself. I am not talking about ego... here, I am talking about self-love, self-esteem, and self-worth. It’s a feeling and practice that can easily be harnessed if you just put in the work. I believe that when you do the "hard" self-discovery work that no one else wants to do, you will always have a leg up— I promise.
I have worked incredibly hard in my career to harness this superpower! I wanted to share three tips to improve your self-esteem so you can be the BOSS you have always dreamed of!
FALL DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF:
I cannot express how important this is, especially for a woman. You will start to realize all of the feelings of jealousy, fear, and hate just slip away. Leading with love is a strength and people see that right away. I promise you, people in the business world will respond so differently to you. That self-love energy is magnetic and will open so many doors along the way.
IMPROVE YOUR INTERNAL DIALOGUE:
This is so key! Those inside voices and feelings will eventually show! Energy does not lie and neither do the words you are putting into your head. The mind is the most powerful muscle we have in our body. Just like any other muscle group you have to exercise the mind in the appropriate ways. If you don’t control the mind the mind will control you.
When I encounter a woman who celebrates other women's successes, I immediately know she has high self-esteem. When you love yourself it is so easy to celebrate others because you have room in your heart to do so. This is a trait I always look for when working with potential business partners. It’s small yet so massive and people and other female-owned business owners notice!
So loves, I hope those three tips help and allow you to start bossing up the way you want to. Remember, it’s always an inside job even though the fitness business seems to always be about our outward appearing bodies. Go deep, do the work, and keep discovering you.
