My Travel essentials

lifestyle, travel

For those of you that really know me, you know how much I am on the road. With lots of travel comes lots of airplanes ... the place where your skin literally gets dried out by the minute. I feel like airplanes always make my skin look worn out and tired, so I am sharing my top ways to keep that glow the minute you step onto an airplane.

Step 1.  Wipe

I like to instantly wipe off my makeup with these wipes. These wipes are amazing because they are a dual-sided glycolic acid wipe that exfoliates and hydrates the skin. I do not wear a ton of makeup so going bare on flights is the only way to go. Also, if you are on a super-long flight ask the flight attendants for a hot hand towel. This is a great tip that they usually will do for you.

Step 2. Cleanse

I often skip this step if I’m not wearing any makeup at all. Sometimes it can be hard to get into the bathroom and fully wash your face (if you can great, if not NBD). This cleanser comes in a great travel size, so you can take it with you everywhere.

Step 3. Sheet Mask

These sheet masks are some of my favorite products on the market! All the ingredients are safe and chemical free. Your neighbor on the flight might think you look like a crazy person, but don't worry they will be jealous when they see your skin after. :)

Step 4. Eye Patches

After you remove your mask your skin will feel amazing, so once you add this extra layer of moisturizer to your eyes you will be a glowing goddess. The powerful ingredients; cactus collagen increases skin elasticity, improves circulation and reduces puffiness. Anything that reduces puffiness I am all about.

Step 5. Serum

Your face should be extra juicy now! This effective lightweight serum is small and perfect for your travel kit. Serum helps with deep hydration and will help your skin look alive after you step off the plane.

Step 6: Eye Oil

I love using this Josh Rosebrook oil for my ear area. This formula offers a higher ratio of herbal actives to fully impact the eye area. I have tried so many eye creams and this oil is one of the only things that doesn't aggravate my eye area.

Step 7. Moisturizer

This step you can skip if you think your skin is already fully-moisturized, but I like to really cover my tracks while flying. If you are taking an overnight flight this goop night cream is just what the doctor ordered.

Step 8. Hand Cream

When you fly your skin gets dry everywhere, and that includes your hands. I am constantly washing my hands (since I am around people all day) so keeping them moisturized is key. I am a big fan of Fig + Yarrow buttercream. This cream is super rich and so hydrating. I love it because it smells amazing too.

Step 9. Lip Balm

I feel like my lips are always dry, so having lip conditioner with me at all times is a must. I am a big fan of this lip balm because it always leaves my lips feeling soft and not chapped.

Step 10. Eye Mask

This is an extra step to take if you really want to maximize your flight time. I am always trying to get some extra shut eye on the plane and having a "do not disturb" pillow on my eyes makes it pretty damn clear. I love this skin rejuvenating eye mask because it's supposed to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help keep your skin looking younger! Hell yes! Sign me up.

Step 11. Sleep

Now for my favorite time ... zzzzz! Sit back and let your beauty rest go to work.
